Hello! My name is Ellie, and I’m from a small town in Iowa called La Porte City. I chose the MCA program because I’m looking to build a stronger foundation in the human body before attending medical school while working alongside people who share similar interests. In the future, I hope to improve healthcare in rural communities, especially in the field of geriatrics. In my free time, I enjoy running, spending time with family and friends, and volunteering in the NICU at UIHC. I’m looking forward to continuing to learn, challenge myself, and grow throughout my academic journey, and I believe the MCA program is a great opportunity to do that.
